Light is better than darkness, is what we imply when we speak about the light at the end of the tunnel as a sign of hope. The light at the end of the tunnel makes a useful metaphor, because even in its non-metaphorical sense it holds lots of mystery. When we move through an unknown tunnel, the light of the tunnel does not reveal the landscape it is reflected from until we come close to the tunnel's end. This blog will speculate about the light at the end of the tunnels of life. Whether the end of the tunnel will ever be reached, I guess, depends on the lengths of the tunnels entered.
